Visp is a small town, and doesnt offer much in terms of tourist attractions. But it does have some exceptional dining options. The one I particularly liked was "Restautant Fux" which has a fantastic dining menu and drinks :-) Other notable restaurants worth a visit are: Restaurant La Poste, Staldbach and Restaurant Elite If hotels in Zermatt or Saas-Fee are sold out, then Visp would be one the ideal places to stay. In Visp, I would recommend Hotel Elite or Hotel Baxter as one of the best options to stay.Guest review byRAJATIndia - 6.0

Would be dead, like the Welsh valleys, if it wasn't for Lonza A.G. The trainstation however is very well served and is a jumping-off point for Saas Fee and Zermatt. There is a regular express train to/from Romanshorn, which calls at Bern and Zürich. The street was lively enough to be interesting, but so noisy as to be disturbing (and with the windows closed you couldn't hear a thing). The staff were all very friendly and helpful, the location couldn't be better just a few metres from the station and near the old town. The room was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was really exceptionally good.
