Weesen is a scenic town on the one end of Walensee Lake.
Weesen is a scenic town on the one end of Walensee Lake. It has a lovely quaint calm atmosphere. There are playgrounds with beautiful views, boats to tour the area and a small town to wander through. It can get very busy on a hot summers day, so I would recommend an overnight stay where you can get to enjoy it's calmness once the crowds have left for the day. It's located at the lake side with beautiful views, there's a ferry stop there, in close distance there's nice place to sunbath, swim and sup in Lago Mio, really food restaurant in parkhotel schwert. There are several wanderweg & mountain trails from Weesen or Amden, you can also use bus & train to got to the other (really lovely) side of the lake or near Glarus or Klontalersee.
