UNESCO site. Beautiful landscapes. wear proper hiking waterproof shoes. Raincoat for rainy days in March. plan to spend at least 2 nights. book rides with the Hotel to facilitate the arrival process...visitors have to pay entrance fee to the Ping On village. there is a ticket office and security gate for this purpose. travel light and enjoy its natural beauty.Guest review byanneCanada - 10.0
Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night.
Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night. It was very easy to get around and the entire village at Ping'an has English and Chinese signage all on farming/hiking trails. I can't believe how empty the village is and part of me is concerned that not enough tourists are visiting even though I loved the serenity of it. The rooms are simple, but everything is clean and up to date. The staff was outstanding. They speak English and were chatting a lot with me. They helped me with organizing hikes and worried if I would come home later than I announced. Also the view from the hotel is beautiful.
