MalaysiaAlice is very helpful. We were picked up from Zhangzhou train station. There is no easier way to reach this place on our own.
This is a 400 year old tulou that we stayed the night. Of course, the rooms were with “modern” amenities like air conditioner and hot water shower.
We engaged Jesse to bring us to nearby commercial tulous. In the evening we had dinner at the restaurant in Taxia village next to the river (which overflowed the banks the next day after we left). We had dish of fried fish caught from the river.
We had porridge breakfast prepared by Alice in the tulou.
