This is a family-run hotel with the whole family pitching in. They were delightful and keen to be helpful with lots of cups of tea, advice and assistance with purchasing tickets. It felt like I was staying with friends. Very little english, but fearless with using translation apps. Very thoughtful - gave me a bottle of water for the train home after dropping me at the station. The standout for this property was the staff. I wish them every success with their business.

Staying in this hotel was one of the best experiences in China 🇨🇳. The manager did an absolutely fantastic job, taking us from the railway station and providing us with warm welcome. The quality of service in China is one of the best in the world and this place is a role model. We received gifts and bathroom equipment. We were showed how to visit the city and how to manage. The big advantage for this hotel is the place itself. It looks like a historic traditional Chinese style, and it makes the stay an adventure where you can go back in a time. It is a good mix between modern standard of living and traditional climate The last thing worth to mention, I forgot to take my cosmetic and the manager sent it to my hotel in Beijing immediately. About the city, people say that it is a touristic open-air museum and it is not an actual china. It is true, but this is why it is worth visiting this place as it is inspiring and climatic. It is not touristic in terms of Turkish or Egipt scams place, but it is touristic because of its history and buildings that the government decided to keep in unchanged shape. 2 nights would be perfect to go around in rest mode, before going to more crowded and noisy cities. Beware Alipay is necessary to buy tickets online and visit all museums.

The hotel environment was very good, the staff was very friendly, asked us in advance about the arrival time and method, arranged a pick-up car to pick us up, and had a good breakfast. This hotel is located in the very center of the city, so it is extremely convenient in order to fully enjoy the city by walk. At the same time, the bedrooms are well inside and away from the main street so that one can enjoy a perfectly noiseless night of sleep. Most importantly, the whole staff and especially the onwer are EXTREMELY kind, trustworthy and helpful: they even helped us shipping a bulky shopping item we bought in Pingyao to Italy. Absolutely recommended to any traveller and will 100% come back here next time I will visit Pingyao.

Probably one of the nicest small hotels in China. The taste, balance, artworks is absolute top. If you want something else than corporate hotels without personality, this is your place !

Beautifully presented hotel in the heart of the old city. Step outside and you've stepped into historic china. The staff were kind and courteous and did their best to make sure our stay was comfortable. The room was beautifully presented and had the heat and lights on when we arrived. Breakfast was good. The pickup and drop off at the train station was a lovely addition which made our stay smooth and comfortable. Very happy with the experience.
