We visit Suzhou because it is both modern and ancient.
We visit Suzhou because it is both modern and ancient. And it is steeped in more than 2,500 years of China's even longer history for students who know there's a whole world out there beyond the Greco-Roman. Given the throngs of visitors on a mid-October weekend, we were fortunate to have enjoyed the sights and sounds of the Suzhou Museum, the Administrator's Garden, Tiger Hill, and Tongli. Tongli as one of the most famous Watertowns and usually worth a visit, is recommended to be avoided during Holiday times like Chinese New Year (as we chose) as a guessed 3 Million others have the same idea at the same day.
