    A very unique place to be. A must visit place.

    A very unique place to be. A must visit place. We loved it even though we can’t read Chinese and speak a little only. We enjoyed our very short time there. Even in the rain it was great fun. Wear waterproof trainers when it’s rainy season as your feet will get wet and it can be slippery with the wrong footwear.

    The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day...

    The view of the river is so majestic, both during the day and the night! For women, the traditional attire rental is something everyone should try. The booking for Hanfu and Mao clothing are not available online though, but its everywhere once you are in the town.

    Fenghuang is really nice.

    Fenghuang is really nice. We've traveled a lot around China and people have been very friendly. One aspect of Fenghuang that we like was that it doesn't seem to get many western tourists nor has it changed to accommodate them --- for the better. The tourist maps tend to be in Chinese (only) which works but travelers should try to have some level of awareness of what to see and do --- that said, it's really nice just wandering the streets and alley ways without much of a plan.

    Fantastic location right in the centre of Fenghuang ancient town, only a few minutes walk to the restaurants and the riverside where a large number of tourist attractions are located. The owner very helpful and came to pick us up from our taxi drop off point in Qifeng square, a few minutes walk around the corner. He also recommended us to watch light show which was fascinating and helped book tickets for the night time river cruise which is a must!

    Everything about this place was perfect. The host was wonderful and it was obvious that it was important to him that we had a wonderful stay. The accommodation is wonderfully situated in the heart of ancient Fenghuang close to all the activities that a traveller might want to do. The accomodation itself was sparkling clean and new. Overall, I honestly thought this was a perfect place to stay in the dream that is Fenghuang.

    Nice and cosy hotel in a quieter part of Fenghuang, whilst still having a mesmerising view of the vivid lights of Fenghuang River at night. The hotel is located amazingly, being close to both the riverside and the Phoenix Old Town. It's a great starting point for some adventuring on foot! Big thanks to our host and his wife for their support and their part in making our stay magical.
