Amazing experience! Room was spacious while still feeling cozy, and outfitted with great decor. Our host was phenomenal, going to the lengths of organising mopeds for us to use around the town, delivering coffee to our room, and giving us discounts on local attractions, not to mention organised transport to and from the train station. Included breakfast was yummy and varied daily. Overall 10/10 hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff is very friendly with good English, they explained to us all the attractions and places to visit. The room was spotless, and the breakfast was delicious. They also arranged us transportation back to the train station to Guillin. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We spent our wedding anniversary here. The service was amazing. Sarah in particular was really helpful with our schedule arrangements. (Thanks a million for making us feel very much welcomed). This is our 2nd stay at the Apsara plus 1 stay at the neighbouring sister hotel Moondance. It's ideal for hiking, biking, e-biking, rafting, rock climbing, and rafting ........... Check-in was easy, just hand in the passports/ID and they'll bring them back to you when registered, the public area has a cosy fireplace, a small bar and a restaurant area. Tea and coffee are on hand all day, and afternoon snacks are provided as well. The restaurant food is mostly Chinese but tasty and a few other bits such as chicken popcorn and chips for the kids. Breakfast is fine with cereals, toast, a range of hot foods, eggs and noodle soups. The pool is open all year and the brave in winter can take a dip! there is outdoor seating overlooking the river and a rainproof gazebo in wet weather. The rooms are spacious and rustic. the beds are clean and comfortable with aircon for hot and cold as needed. Some rooms are suitable for families singles couples and friends so plenty of choices. Tips - contact the hotel for we chat connections and they can be super helpful and cater for your needs. free bikes are on hand and the hotel can help with a range of activities, many an easy cycle or within an hours walk. hiking the back trails along the rivers and karst is easy and well worth it but download apps to your phone such as MapsMe, Locus Map and A Map have most of the paths marked between them. The nearest train station is Yangshuo 2h30m ish from Guangzhou and 4-5h30m from Wuhan and the airport at Guilin. The hotel can arrange transfers.

The hotel is in the most beautiful location on the other side of the river to Yangshuo with the most incredible views of the limestone hills and Yangshuo. Very comfortable big rooms with great beds and bathroom. Huge balcony looking out over the landscape. Easy to get taxis in and out of town. Shelley, Craig and their friendly staff are great hosts and we would like to say a very special thank you to Craig who was so kind to us showing us the beautiful stone village and countryside between Yangshuo and Guilin. We hope to be back one day to your very special hotel and Yangshuo. It really is a very unique place that deserves much time and space.

Beautiful location, with breathtaking views from bedroom (the photos are fully accurate). Large spacious room. Staff were very helpful and kind, and went out of their way to help me on several occasions. As is common in many hotels in China, English was quite limited, however, this hotel was the best I encountered at overcoming the language barrier, making excellent use of technology to ensure smooth and immediate communication.

    Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin.

    Yangshuo is what people think of when they think of Guilin. It is set in beautiful surroundings, with karst hills, forests and rivers, is full of history and interest and is packed with lively bars and restaurants but has easy access to quieter, rural lanes and villages. Visitors love to dress up in local dress and photograph themselves so there's quite a party atmosphere. I loved it and wished I'd stayed longer than two nights.

    There is a lot to do in Yangshuo.

    There is a lot to do in Yangshuo. Very nice places to see and we can also enjoy some of them using a bike or scooter. Take a cruise on the Li river and enjoy a bamboo boat rafting (quite soft). At nigh don't miss the light show, an amazing event on water with more than 200 artists

    We stayed at Chaoyang village, it is close to Yulong River, which is the quieter side of Yangshuo (compartively). The karst landscape is beautiful and the manual bamboo rafting (not motorised like those at Li River) experience is highly recommended!

    A trip up and down the river (raft or boat) and walking...

    A trip up and down the river (raft or boat) and walking around West street are the highlights, we enjoyed the local park and the . The scenery is very beautiful, but marred by the traffic. We ate in the restaurant at the River-View hotel, very popular with locals and tourists alike. Don't imagine you can get to other towns easily by public transport, the bus station is well outside of town, hence the large numbers of e-scooters in use. The "Yangshuo" train station is actually 34km/21 miles away from Yangshuo, at Xinping, you need to book train tickets a few days in advance, they often sell out. Be aware of the Great Fire-wall of China; all google apps and many more don't work. Most people (and our hotel) used WeChat (instead of WhatsApp), AliPay, and DiDi for taxis- download the apps before you get to China and bring a local sim with you.

    we moved from Guilin to Yangshuo and the latter is definitely more beautiful - breath-taking. The "Impressions of Liu San Jie" by impressario Zhang Yi Mou is worth every dollar spent on the tickets. Be sure to visit "Ru Yi Feng" and take the river cruise. When you do the latter, you will come across the site where the "Impressions of Liu San Jie" are being staged. The karst-like hills form the background of this show. There are several hundred performers from Ethnic minorities of the region.

    This hotel is absolutely charming—a true garden oasis tucked away in a small village near the river, offering easy access to a variety of river activities. My room was both beautiful and tranquil, the perfect place to relax. The staff, Julia and Sophia, were incredibly warm and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. They helped arrange a scenic bike ride along the river and a private Tai Chi class—both experiences were fantastic. If I ever return to Yangshuo, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

    This hotel near West Street is a real treasure! The location is perfect—just steps away from the lively street, so everything was within reach. The staff spoke excellent English and were so kind, helping me with directions and local advice. Their service was exceptional, always quick and cheerful. The room was clean and comfy, offering a great spot to relax. I loved how convenient it was to explore Yangshuo from here, thanks to the prime spot and amazing team. Highly recommend it.

    The staff were very kind and helpful, always available and attentive. They care about their work and guests. The food was super tasty and the menu well balanced. The location is perfect: super quiet and peaceful and only a 20 min walk to the centre of Yangshuo. The rooms were big, with very comfortable beds and pillows, very clean and had an amazing bath tub. We have nothing but praises for this place. Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed at.
