However, the only negative to say is that many roads are not paved, which is due to the government's and private conflicts, for such a tourist area is a shame to see that. Hopefully it can improve.

    Super great local lake getaway vibes.

    Super great local lake getaway vibes. Take a boat tour of the lake (sizes range from a private solo tour up to a big party boat); climb the gigantic rock if you don’t mind the 650 steps up & down; visit the vegan restaurant a couple blocks off the main square; talk to the locals - they’re super friendly!

    Guatape is beautiful and the food is 10/10.

    Guatape is beautiful and the food is 10/10. It’s the complete opposite of the city though so it depends on what vibe you are looking for. I definitely would recommend staying at the Brown’s if you are spending a night or two in Guatape. We went there for dinner and then again to spend the day at the beach club snd it was amazing.

    It is a full house and perfect for a family staying for a few days. For us, or anyone staying one night, I would say this. It is difficult to find after dark, but the owner did send a tuk tuk to get us after we couldn't find it.

    What a great place to visit.

    What a great place to visit. We are coming back to climb Piedre del Penol and spend more time with the friendliest people I've ever met with beautiful zocalos, art, restaurants, I can't say enough good things.

    A great location to enjoy nature and good food. It is quite diverse so you can have the local colombian experience or get lost in the middle of the nature in a boutique hotel enjoying the views and amazing food

    A nice quieter location across the bridge from the main town of Guatapé (but only 10-15 minutes walk). Staff let us check in 30 mins early and there is a late check out time of 12 noon. The shower has hot water. The bed was comfortable and our room was spacious. There is a lounge area which is nice to sit in, but unfortunately there weren't other guests when we stayed. The whole place was very clean. Really good value for money.

    Really sweet staff - one receptionist in particular went out of her way to make sure the jacuzzi was perfect for us when we requested it (it does cost a bit extra to use the spa). The hotel is really well maintained and has lovely communal areas at the front of the hotel and on the terrace. We ended up extending our stay an extra night because we loved Guatape and the hotel so much.

    I enjoyed my stay here. It’s a very simple but charming hotel centrally located within the town. Didn’t have any noise issues and found the bed comfortable. Luis on the desk was very helpful and polite and allowed me to store my bags when I need to explore the town after check out. Communication was prompt and helpful with staff via booking.com. Recommended!

    Wonderful hotel w/individual cabins and great views. One of my all-time favorite hotels - luxury, but not too much, great services (in particular we loved the fireplace on the porch :-) It really is a very special place with great views, lovely cabins, good service - value for money: certainly!

    The place was the best place we stayed ever in Guatape, there was privacy, our own little place for the days we stayed there. lots to do, lots of water activities, excellent staff, friendly people and great food. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a getaway.
