There were people from all parts of the world in one little town. It is worth exploring the surrounding areas, because the actual town of Montezuma is rather small. There are different dining and lodging options for all tastes and budgets. Some great restaurants! We especially enjoyed Playa de Los Artistas, Soda La Naranja, and Cocolores. We also enjoyed morning yoga at Ylang Ylang, the accessibility of the beach, and the walkability of the town and local waterfalls. Montezuma is a quiet beach town, has enough places to eat, a grocery store, but is not a party place. Our house was up the heal, between the trees with lots of birds and animals around. In the evenings we would sit outside, but keep the windows and doors closed, that nothing could go in. We had airconditioning, but we just used it to cool off the place, then it stayed cool for the night. Lots of beaches to choose from and lots of waterfalls to visit.Guest review bySaroltaCanada - 2.0

It was beautifully designed, staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was amazing. The views from our room and the hotel garden were outstanding. Loved to hear the story of our the owners started the property in the 80s /90s with their love for Montezuma. Great experience walking up to the Montezuma waterfall, we left at 7 and had the waterfall to ourselves for swimming. The room was large and comfortable with good facilities, nice bathroom, amazing (and appreciated) air con and a lovely sitting area outside to enjoy the view and to try and spot a monkey or two. There was also a pool and jacuzzi which was getting good use. Fab location in Montezuma.
