I travel a lot and spend a long time away from home, so cleanliness, comfort, and beauty around me are very important. I found all of this at La Tigra Mountain House. The beds are wide, the mattresses are comfortable. The hostess of the house is very attentive and caring. And I would like to highlight the view separately. It's fantastic!!! The Platanar and Porvenir volcanoes are visible as if in the palm of your hand. Sunrises, clouds running at eye level, and hovering birds attract and compel you to stop and enjoy life. In the morning, I tried to exercise, but it smoothly transitioned into meditation... As they say, it's better to see once than hear a hundred times!! Come and see for yourself. I recommend it...

This place was absolutely wonderful! My fiancee booked a week here in one of the casitas and it was our first time in Costa Rica. It lived up to all of our expectations and we were hugely pleased with our stay. The staff was absolutely lovely and very accommodating when we thought we were going to have a late check-in. We loved the fact that it was a working farm and had some lovely walks around the property including the Cabalonga trail, spotting sloths by the pool, and having leisurely breakfasts watching the birds. The location is also nicely situated, tucked away in the jungle giving a remote feel, while also being a short drive from La Fortuna. We would absolutely go back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a jungle lodge stay that doesn't feel touristy or like a resort.

The hotel is incredible, a great way to thrown yourself and enjoy being in a rainforest with loads of bird life. We found the staff accommodating and helpful whenever we asked for anything. And even when it rains, enjoying the river slide, the hot pools and the bars and restaurants immersed make it worthwhile

This was my best stay in Costa Rica so far. The property is so beautiful and you really feel immersed in nature. Giovanni and Vanessa were excellent hosts and took great care of me. Giovanni took me on a night walk after dinner which was a real highlight - we saw sloths after just a few meters! Also frogs, turtles, and a firefly-type beetle that I had no idea even existed. The restaurant / bar has a great vibe and the food was delicious. Would definitely go back.

It was a perfect place to experience nature. Really beautifully built. The host was super friendly. My children loved the place and never wanted to leave. The cute daughters of the host gifted small souvenirs to our daughters. It is such a beautiful place, fish, hen, birds proper experience in nature. This was probably my favorite part of Costa Rica Trip! It was so surreal to spend some time disconnected and surrounded by such beautiful nature. Loved all the trails, but sandaderos in bosque la tigra was my favorite. It’s a primary and secondary rainforest property they have nearby and you can visit it for a small fee. I saw there more wildlife by myself than in any other forests walking with a guide. I did a night tour and we walked around the property, not even rainforest further out, and saw 3 snakes within the first 5minutes, so many frogs and other insects, and the guide was very knowledgable. I also planted a tree there and it was a really beautiful experience of giving back to the nature and community. Overall service is 10/10, always with a smile, always asking a question or two. No connection at all anywhere except the reception, but wifi there is stronger than in most coworkings I have visited here in Costa Rica. The only thing that was challenging for me personally and I have not seen it mentioned in the comments is if you sometimes get car sick, a road to the property will make you car sick, so please have some medicine handy. But it’s the entire area around that is like this, so just accepting it as part of adventure. I recommend staying for 2-3 nights and spending it in the lodge area enjoying the nature, the best disconnection and reconnection with the self “retreat” 🤭

The cottage/house was super cozy at very "quiet” place. Leydi, the owner, was super nice and friendly. We had three choices for breakfast. On our request she made the breakfast a bit bigger and shared with us some complimentary bananas from their own garden. We had/saw a sloth on a tree, right in front of the house. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen with dinner few appliances and very basic equipment.
