Emerald 1 is so spacious inside and out and is well equipped in the kitchen, fans and AC for cooling, washing machine and dishwasher, multiple plug ins for 110 volt electricity. The large patio has a variety of seating , clothes dryer and line, awesome ocean view, outdoor tap for foot-washing, privacy, an awning for sun and heat control, and regular mosquito control. Beach Access is a very short walk away and pool access is around the corner. It is a very nice pool area for a refreshing dip and lounging and a shower when coming from the beach. There are a number of pool/ beach toys and equipment in the laundry room. Centrum Grocery store is on the way in to Blue Bay for all your supplies. Owner Heidi is very helpful and great to deal with, payment on arrival. It is best to have Whats App for easy communications with her and set up a Wise payment account in order to access different payment options (for Canadians especially if you want to pay by CC or USD from your bank). The beach itself is lovely sand and easy entry, lots of seating, trees, palappas, restaurants and bar, dive shop. This was our second time in Emerald one and we spent most of our 2 weeks right on site.

This place was perfect, I came down a few days early for my brother's wedding which was on a resort but I enjoy this place because it was in a perfect location the people were very friendly and nice. I eat in town which was great and I slept like a baby. My room was addressed everyday and tidy for me when I returned from being out all day.

The location was super easy to find, and very close to CuracaoMarine where we keep and work on our boat, so this was very important for us. The place has a great history, it used to be an ice cream factory converted into a hotel, apartments and even a hostel, so something for every budget. The room was exceptionally large, with three beds, a sofa, table for two, large cupboard and a kitchenette. The AC worked very well. The bathroom was clean, the towels and bedsheets were changed regularly, the room was cleaned every day. There was a pool near our room, and a very large one designed like a beach a few meters further away, with a bar. The staff were incredibly friendly, they put up with us even though we lost our room card very often. All in all, it was the best place we stayed in Curacao and we would recommend it to everyone.

    Great resort, lovely beach. 3 bed unit 20 was on first floor, had great view and close to beach. Balcony was fantastic. Air con in bedrooms Worked well. Good size and clean and nicely decorated albeit basic. Bad lighting in kitchen, beds and pillows not comfortable. It’s all about the location here, close to beach and blue bay is lovely.
