All was perfect. The breakfast was really good. The staff was very frendly. The room was big, clean and beautifaul. The pool area was amazing. The hotel isn't in the centre of the city, but in the centre of Brno there aren't many thing to do. Are better the woods, the rivers, the lake, the castes around the city. So hovever you have to take the car. If you want to relax yourself, to see beautifaul landsapes you need to go to ještěBrno!

The room was large and very clean and comfortable, with views to a nice square in the historical city center. The toilet was new and very clean. The location in the city center makes the difference when visiting Brno. It's a short walk away from the train station for a fast connection, and has a very convenient valet service if you travel by car. The staff is amazing, with an authentic interest in making your stay comfortable.

The Historic Heart of Moravia

The 2nd largest Czech city, Brno is a centre of Moravian culture, surrounded by lush countryside. The twin spires of the hilltop Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul dominate the neighbouring Bishops Palace, while the nearby square houses the Moravia Museum and Reduta Theatre, both the oldest in the country.

Beneath the square is Brno Underground, a maze of medieval tunnels and cellars that once housed wine produced in the surrounding region. There is an annual wine festival here, but the largest event is the Ignis Brunensis fireworks competition by Brno Lake to the north-west, lined by trees that hide Veveří Castle.

A less grand castle - Špilberk - sits on a hill in the city centre. At its feet is Masaryk University, the 2nd largest in the Czech Republic. The city’s Mendel University is named after the genetics founder who was abbot of St Thomas’ Abbey, where a museum commemorates his work.

The nearby Brno Exhibition Centre is of functionalist design, but the most important example of this architectural style is UNESCO World Heritage-listed Villa Tugendhat. On the opposite side of the city is Masaryk Circuit, home of the Czech MotoGP.

    Great for architecture and history. If planning to visit the Tugendhat Villa, book well ahead (booking opens c. 3 months ahead.) Excellent public transport but also very walkable. Quite lively and busy but not overly touristy.

    The Old Town was nice with some lovely old buildings.

    The Old Town was nice with some lovely old buildings. The atmosphere in the old market square was great with the fruit and vege stalls. Jazz cafe there was excellent. The Špilberk castle towered over the town and was interesting to visit, although the interiors were not much to see. We visited the interesting ‘10-Z bunker’ which was a nuclear bunker during the Cold War. Also enjoyed visiting the Mendel Museum, if you have any interest in science and genetics.

    Brno is a must town to visit in Czech republic. The old town is small but fool of fine buidings, churches, restaurants, etc. We ate at Stopkova Plzeňská Pivnice and we recommande the place. The atmosphere is pleasant and the dishes are various and delicious.

    As I live in Vienna, I have been to Brno several times for short trips and long weekends, however I always find something new to do or see. The selection of restaurants and coffee shops is excellent. The people are very friendly, many speaking English.

    Interesting to see the second largest city after Prague.

    Interesting to see the second largest city after Prague. City is clean, and nice old buildings, and magnificent churches. But, Spilberk Castle does not have any English guided tour, thus we did not buy the ticket :(

    When booking, we did not expect much. And instead of an old, run-down, out-of-fashion we found ourselves in ... a palace. The decor was old-style, yet very tasty and super-elegant. The room was clean, bed very comfortable, good AC, good wifi, very professional staff. This is what a real hotel should look like and that was a refreshing experience after staying in all-the-same chain hotels. It was PERFECT!

    The hotel iThe hotel location is quite convinient, and the entire city centre is in the walking distance. The staff was helpfull and had no issues swaping our twin bed room for double bed. Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good.
