Kortumstrasse is great and the Bratwursthaus is the best.
Kortumstrasse is great and the Bratwursthaus is the best. Rest of the Center felt a bit difficult to navigate and empty later in the day though admittedly on working days so it might be better in the weekend. Highlander Games has great Board Game Stock but mostly for the German speaking audience. The Matrix is a must go place for a concert. I was in Bochum to visit friends, but was pleasantly surprised with all the city had to offer! The Stadtpark is lovely, with lots of hiking trails and some paddle boats, and the view from the Bismarck tower was very good (and free!). I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Mining Museum underground tour - very informative and fun! There is so much green in the city, and many shopping opportunities and excellent transport. It's also easy to travel to other locations. We visited the half-timber houses of Hattingen and also Dusseldorf (only about 30 min trip by train).
