Wandering around the old town was wonderful and the quaintness of the streets, houses on bridge, and beautiful river and park was lovely and very relaxing. A must visit is the basilica and a walk around the hilltop for views over town. Easy to get around by foot because it's small. Erfurt is a beautiful medieval city with lots to see and do, great walks around the city, delicious food, artisan chocolate, atmospheric, beautiful evenings. It is great value for what you pay. In particular the staff are so attentive and helpful and make you feel special. They go out of their way for you. The room sizes are big by European standards and well laid out. And you didn't lack for any amenities. The front desk staff were very helpful and answered my questions about the city and where to eat dinner on the day we arrived. Our room was lovely and very clean. We only stayed one night as we were on a road trip and weren't able to spend time in Erfurt. I definitely would recommend H2 Hotel Erfurt.
