Hagen is not the most beautiful of towns. Seems to have fallen on hard times like a lot of towns in an Industrial area of the Country. Resembles East German cities in 90s. A city left behind I think. Will not hurry back 2/10. Nothing that impressed me. Signs of urban degredation. Unfinished works. Road works. Shabby empty buildings. They not only sent a message, but also called to confirm we understood the check-in process for check-ins after 11pm. Got a very nice apartment with lots of space, microwave, fridge and a small capsule coffee machine. Also liked the option to either book the breakfast buffet for 13,50€, or just visit the (inexpensive but good) bakery cafe downstairs. The kitchen has all the appliances that you need, mini bar with snacks and drinks is also available. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. Aldi and Edeka are literally at one minute walking distance. The windows give a good isolation, no noise from the outside even if the road is quite busy.
