Halle is quite an attractive city with lots of old style buildings and cobbled streets. However it lacks atmosphere and is quite a boring place. We were visiting my daughter who is currently based there working so we had a good time, but it's not a place I would go back to apart from to visit her, and I wouldn't recommend it.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Such an interesting city!
Such an interesting city! Two castles, an interesting bar/pub/cafe scene, you can feel the energy and buzz from the young people around the university and art school. Great public transport, a lot of history, and also a wealth of public green areas. The Saale valley is lovely for walks, canoing and boat trips and makes you forget the city with its attractions is just a few steps away.Guest review byLarsUnited Kingdom

However, as soon as I entered the main hall, my worries vanished. The room was exceptionally neat and clean, and the bed was somewhat firm, which is perfect for us. (I personally prefer a firmer mattress.). Additionally, the coffee shop on the first floor, where you can have breakfast, was excellent and of very high quality.
