Highly recommend Miniature Wunderland, that was cool but I advise getting there as early as possible because it gets very busy which makes it less enjoyable. The food is cheap in there looking at their website, but you can also being your own which is nice. The zoo was also good, but expensive (£26) for it's size. You also have to pay almost the same price to get into the aquarium as well, so we didn't bother with that. Hamburg in general seems like a very expensive city, coming from London, things were almost the same price such as food & drink in a lot of places. You can save a little money by getting the HVV app to buy transport tickets. Visually, there is so much graffiti in Hamburg, it's everywhere. I've spent longer periods in Hamburg...this was merely a layover on a trip where I was en route from Denmark to southern Germany and the Alsace (France). The sad part is communication gap, especially coming from an English speaking country and most people reluctant to speak back to me in English but in Deutsch was something shocking 😲. Especially, I went to the DB centre to buy a ticket to Dussedolf, the sales assistant reply all what alI asked for in Deutsch deliberately . She was ab elderly person though. I pleaded with her that I am trying to be rude not to be able to speak in Deutsch to her but she will still reply me in Deutsch. I was born and grew up in Hamburg, still love it, and always like to come back for a visit. I am glad the main part of the city hasn't changed too much and is still as beautiful as it was many years ago. There is a lot of construction going on at the moment, however, but I guess that's necessary to keep things in good condition.
