This pretty and quaint old town at the confluence of two rivers forming the third and with more than 450 beautiful half-timbered houses is one of the prettiest small towns in Germany that I have been to, both in terms of natural beauty and in terms of the old city. The old part of town is small enough to be easily done by foot. There is something for everyone in the city -- for nature lovers -- hills and rivers, for history lovers, for architecture lovers with the very imposing Rathaus (Town Hall) and for those in searach of stories there is Dr. Eisenbart. A nice place to drop off the Motorway.
A nice place to drop off the Motorway. Its an old and original looking town with lots to look at and nice to walk around. We have visited before and feel now that there are too many tourist shops all fighting for trade. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, very welcoming. They offered coffee to take with us when we checked out which was really kind of them. They also explained everything on check in which so many hotels don't do these days. The room was very cosy and nicely presented and it was a quiet hotel.
