A charming pictoresque town with very friendly people. We had a delicious dinner in a brewery and by coincidence managed to go to a concert in a church. Also the thermal spa in a neighbouring town is certainly worthy of a visit.Guest review bySilvieNetherlands - 10.0

Soest was a lovely town to stay in and explore. Enjoyed the walk around the tree-lined historic city wall, the pedestrian-only shopping streets, the churches, and the central plaza was a perfect place to stop for a beer.Guest review byglenCanada - 8.0

Our visit was sort of a coincidence - we came for a long hike in the Möhnesee forest but hadn't found a suitable overnight stay there. Thus I tried Soest (and had to check the pronunciation - "Sohst" and not "Suhst" or "Söhst"). We were very pleasantly surprised by this old Hanse town!Guest review byStefanBelgium - 10.0

We visit friends in Soest but always take the opportunity to have a walk around the city walls and into the centre. Its a nice picturesque old town with very good shops, restaurants and cafes. We ate in the Pilgrim Haus hotel restaurant which is excellent and also the town centre cafe near the pond. There aren’t many hotels within the walls of Soest and this one is very reasonably priced. My aunt (not a guest) joined me for breakfast which was only €10.90. Breakfast is lovely. You can have your dinner at the garden as well. Kitchen is fully equipped. Manuela and his partner is very friendly and hospitable.
