Stepping into the historic district of Quito is like walking into a living, breathing work of art. The narrow streets are alive with energy, and the sidewalks are a bustling stage for a constant parade of people. Every corner reveals breathtaking architecture and a symphony of sights and sounds, from the buzzing taxis to the high-quality live music🎶 Small cafeterias offer incredible meals, and the Desayuno Completo - Complete Breakfast is a true feast. It's easy to find fresh fruits, vegetables, and rich Ecuadorian chocolate. Around every corner, you'll find unique arts and crafts, and if you're lucky, a random pop-up parade will add to the magic. "Vibrant" doesn't even begin to cover it—Quito's historic district is a sensory explosion that you have to experience to believe.

Take time to acclimate due to the elevation. There is a lot of up hill walking in the historic district. You can take the bus as there is good public transport. Also, Quito town is higher than the airport. Airport is very modern and well laid out.

Definitely take a walking tour of the old city, take the Teleferico (gondola) up to the mountain overlooking the city, and try out the chocolate and yummy local food. Make sure to plan for traffic when getting around, though!

The buildings and the city is beautiful.

The buildings and the city is beautiful. Go to La Compañia, San Francisco Church and the Museum, Virgen del Panecillo, Telesferiqo and visit Guayasamin Museum. The food is good but not surprising. The conditions in the downtown are difficult. Too much poverty and it is dirty. To be honest, a day and a half is more than enough. And you have to be careful about safety and hygiene issues.

Great location, very characterful and interesting property in the heart of Quito serving the most delicious breakfast we had in Ecuador. Helpful front desk (though limited hours) when we had our valuables pick pocketed in the main square. Try to arrive in the day time when staff are present. Great views from the roof terrace and lots of interesting books and photographs in the common areas. The showers need upgrading and modernising and the wi-fi was patchy.

The hotel staff were lovely and accommodating and the breakfast was delicious. The building is beautiful and the room was very comfortable. The location was convenient for our walking tour meet up and taxis were inexpensive to visit further sites. We enjoyed the teleferico cable car up the mountain - the views were excellent! And we would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Quito.

There were activities for socializing. Queity is awesome. She is very friendly. This was my second time in Ecuador, and I stayed in Quito for a weekend to meet people and party. So it was a little challenging because there were not many guests, but I had a good time here in the end.

Excellent hotel, in a safe part of town next to the park. As with most Western chain hotels, the staff were very professional and rooms were large and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was AMAZING (by Ecuador standards), the best we had in Ecuador, so much choice.
