Both myself and my wife have come to Cairo Egypt for the first time. We stayed in The Trans Hotel, and wow, it was more than we expected. The staff are amazing and very friendly who helped me with everything i needed. My room was very spacious and beautiful with a waterfront view right outside my big balcony window. It is a very peaceful place away from all the noise, all you can here is the waves of the river. I would 100% book this hotel again when I come to Cairo Egypt.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel! The room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The entire staff from reception to the cleaners, the luggage assistants, and the rooftop team were incredibly kind, respectful, and always smiling. They truly made me feel at home, like part of a family. The location is also perfect close to Zamalek, the Nile, restaurants, and cafés. I had the best experience and will definitely come back again. Seeing everyone’s smiles every morning was enough to make my day. Highly recommended!

This hotel is new and undergoing an extensive renovation process. Positive aspects to consider: The Booking.com images match reality: the rooms are new, with new furniture, spacious layout, very comfortable king-size beds, and large pillows. Everything is brand new, from the wardrobes to the bathroom. New Carrier air conditioning units, a large refrigerator, TV, LED lights, wardrobe, and a bathroom with a shower cabin or bathtub. Hot water has normal pressure but is very comfortable for showering. Excellent soundproofing from the street—it doesn’t feel like you’re in the city center. The hotel’s location is excellent: city center, within walking distance of Tahrir Square. The area is safe, with a police station on the back street. In front of the hotel is MISR Bank with a 24-hour ATM that always works. Don’t be fooled by the building’s old exterior—the interior is renovated, and improvements are still ongoing. The WiFi works very well (VDSL technology, typical Cairo speeds). Multiple hotel routers ensure a stable, uninterrupted connection. The breakfast is delicious and authentically Egyptian: coffee, milk, fruit, bread, jam, butter, "La Vache Qui Rit" cheese, etc. Breakfast is served on a terrace next to reception, overlooking a busy street with two benches. Strongly advise against renting a car—don’t even think about it! Uber is the smartest, most practical, and affordable option. We used it dozens of times flawlessly. The STAFF is fantastic!!! JOUSEF, ABDALLA, ERINY—all young, tourism-trained, friendly, and attentive. They communicate via WhatsApp, always smile, and promptly fulfill requests. We requested a room change due to a shower leak, and they moved us immediately.

I had the privilege of staying at Longchamps for a total of five nights and left it with the best impressions and memories. The hotel is situated centrally and yet offers peace and quietness. It was comforting to retreat there after a day on the noisy and stressful streets of Cairo. The rooms are spacious, newly refurbished and decorated tastefully as is indeed the hotel overall. I wish to emphasize the particular cleanliness of the rooms and of its several premises. I very much appreciated and enjoyed the veranda of the hotel both in the morning, when breakfast is served there, and during the evenings as it’s the perfect spot to relax. As regards breakfast, I tried the oriental breakfast on the first morning of my stay and got stuck with it. It is not only delicious, but also very nutritious; in fact, we skipped lunch every day during our stay in Cairo. Abdulrahman introduced me to various sorts of Egyptian cheese and to other domestic delicacies and conversing with him was interesting and pleasant. Overall, the personnel is possibly the real highlight of Longchamps! Everyone, in all positions, are very polite, friendly and helpful. I would like to thank them all very much for making our stay at the hotel such a remarkably beautiful experience!

Prime location, 4 minutes on foot to Tahrir square, with lots of good restaurants and cafes around. The hotel is brand new, rooms are spacious and bright, sparkling clean with extra comfortable beds and super functional showers. Cute detail that they all have names of egyptian gods. The staff is excellent, super friendly and polite, always making sure we had what we needed. We especially loved the breakfast, traditional and delicious with something different every day. All in all, highly recommended.
