The included breakfast was fabulous - a lot of choice and variety, all of which was really high quality. Every single staff member we spoke to was incredibly friendly and pleasant, and did as much as they could to help us at any time of day or with any request. Our room was very spacious and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We had a great view over Rambla Catalunya with a very cute balcony. A great selection of complimentary drinks in the minibar (with a few paid exceptions) and top-ups every day. We would absolutely visit again.

The location of the hotel, its ambiance, the cleanliness, comfort, and style of the rooms, as well as the attentiveness and helpfulness of the staff, were all top-notch. My experience at the hotel exceeded my expectations. Whenever I come to Barcelona, I absolutely plan to stay only at this hotel from now on. Moreover, the rooftop and the view were stunning, especially during the sunset, accompanied by the wines they served us.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Barcelona, and it was an excellent experience overall. The hotel offered great value for the price, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. One highlight was their complimentary happy hour—such a nice touch and a great way to relax after exploring the city. The location was absolutely perfect—close to everything we wanted to see and do in Barcelona. If I ever return to the city, I’ll definitely stay here again!

Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world.

Barcelona is one of my favorite cities in the world. It has a unique atmosphere that combines history, art, and modern life in a truly inspiring way. Walking through its streets feels like moving through an open-air museum, especially with Gaudí’s amazing architecture at every turn. The beaches are beautiful and lively, offering a perfect place to relax, while the food scene is full of flavor and creativity. What I love most is the energy of the city—warm, vibrant, and welcoming. Every visit to Barcelona feels memorable, and I always look forward to coming back.

Arriving in Barcelona after an extended stay in Madrid was...

Arriving in Barcelona after an extended stay in Madrid was very refreshing and a welcome change. The city is clean (in comparison) and architecture is beautiful and historic. The metros are efficient and clean and there is plenty of food and drink for every taste. The biggest drawback is the sticker shock. Everything is double the price of Madrid and much more in line with NYC. This was our second visit to Barcelona (last one was 27 years ago) and it was amazing to see the progress on the Sagrada Familia. For that, it was worth the return trip. However, it was a huge let down to see the excessive prices on other things that were truly not worth it. We spent around 80 euros to visit Moco and were there a half hour (but that's another review) and were very disappointed to find that Park Guell is now charging 18 euros per person just to get to walk through a park. When I think of the gift that NY's Central Park is to all, as well as every park in every major city that I've visited for free, this feels like a real ripoff.

Barcelona is not just a destination — it’s a living work of...

Barcelona is not just a destination — it’s a living work of art. The city’s rhythm flows between its Mediterranean breeze and its vibrant urban pulse, blending history, creativity, and hospitality like few places in the world. Every corner tells a story: from the narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter, where the echoes of medieval times linger, to the elegant avenues of the Eixample, where Gaudí’s masterpieces rise like dreams made of stone and color. The Sagrada Família, Casa Batlló, and La Pedrera remind visitors that architecture can have a soul. But beyond its monuments, Barcelona’s greatest charm lies in its atmosphere. Mornings begin with the aroma of coffee and fresh pastries; afternoons stretch across sun-drenched terraces where locals and travelers mingle effortlessly; and evenings dissolve into music, conversation, and the scent of the sea. The seafront promenade invites long walks, from Barceloneta to Port Vell, where the statue of Christopher Columbus proudly points toward the horizon. From here, Las Ramblas come alive — a living artery of artists, flowers, and human energy. Barcelona is also a city of flavors: from traditional tapas in small bodegas to avant-garde tasting menus in Michelin-starred restaurants. Every bite, like every sight, seems designed to remind you that pleasure and culture coexist here in perfect balance. The people of Barcelona welcome you with authenticity — passionate yet polite, cosmopolitan yet deeply local. There’s an undeniable sense of pride in their heritage, but also a generous openness to the world. Barcelona is not just to be visited — it’s to be felt, breathed, and remembered. Few cities manage to combine beauty, creativity, and human warmth so effortlessly. It’s a place that touches the traveler and lingers long after the journey ends.

If you love art, architecture, delicious food, then Barcelona is wonderful. I visited everything that was by Gaudi and more. La Pedrera( including a night tour and rooftop light show), Casa Battlo, Casa Vicens, La Sagrada Família, Park Guell, Casa Amattler, and Palacio de la Música. I took cabs but trips were never more than 10 Euro, or I was able to walk. Mauri pastry shop is amazing, and so is Flauta restaurant

Everything for the tourism is about Gaudi, and that creates a feeding frenzy for the cruise liners that disgorge thousands upon the city's infrastructure. I was surprised not to like the city, but there are so many other options in Spain that are both better value for the money, as well as for the soul. We spent two full days here, and were content to move on.

Great place for a long weekend break.

Great place for a long weekend break. The Sagrada Familia is a must, it is not cheap and you need to book in advance but is worth it and we would recommend the towers tour. We went to see the evening show of the magic fountains and check out the cool bar and cafe at the Olympic diving centre near Castell de Montjuic, with its breath-taking views over the city.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. Places in Barcelona have complicated feelings about tourism, but the staff were very welcoming even though my Spainish is bad. They have 24 hours reception and accomodated an early check out. They also sent me info on how to get to the hotel in the app, which saved me money on like a 40 euro taxi from the airport. They gave me great tips on what to do in the city and the cleaning staff were amazing.

Amazing staff (specially segnior Tino and guys from the bar). Location is top notch. Good cleaning done every day. Saff is really friendly from their heart. One of the best hotels in Barcelona. The food in the restaurant is on very good level, also the breakfast. Not so much choice for breakfast as in some large 5 star hotels, but everything is selected and very good. Clean comfortable room, the rooftop pool/bar has the best views but can get very busy at night as its so popular, will definitely stay here again.
