Located next to Playa de Palma, the beach resort of El Arenal is a natural continuation of the fun to be had along the capital’s south-eastern coast. With sandy beaches and a promenade full of pubs, restaurants, nightclubs and hotels, it also includes an important marina and the water park Aqualand El Arenal. When you get tired of indulging yourself with sunbathing and endless entertainment, local transport can take you to Palma to admire the medieval Old Town, just 15 km away.

I love the area, if you avoid the beach front there are a few lovely Spanish restaurants about, it's mainly catered for Germans along the front . Feels safe and very friendly in the general area. Market days are Tuesday and Wednesday for food and Thursdays for the main market. I had three days of holiday, and I just wanted to go to the warm sea and take my child to the water park. That's why I chose El Arenal, because it's quite close to the airport and the water park, and I didn't have to waste time travelling. The main advantage of the city is, of course, the sea. But you have to be very careful here. I saw local thieves trying to steal things from holidaymakers at the sea or goods from shops more than once. Another unpleasant thing was that there was a persistent smell of urine in the narrow streets near the promenade, even though the streets were washed by the owners of shops and cafes. Area offers many restaurants, shops and bars. Everything you need you can buy there, beach is free and close by. El Arenal is close to the airport, only 20 minutes by bus, you can reach Palma in 15 minutes. The only thing we didn’t know is that there are many many German tourists and area offers many German bars etc. Otherwise it was a perfect place for a first time in Mallorca!Guest review byElinaCzech Republic - 10

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel! The food was absolutely delicious – fresh, varied, and beautifully presented every day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The location was also perfect – close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. The staff was very nice, the room was cleaned everyday, in the lobby there are umbrellas for the beach that you can use free of charge. The bathroom and the room were a good size, also a big balcony.
