Garachico is an unspoilt gem!
Garachico is an unspoilt gem! Typically Spanish and traditional with beautiful buildings and a gorgeous central square. The beach is a rocky volcanic one but there is a lovely small cove where you can sit on the black sand or even swim! There is also a lovely small marina just at the edge of town to stroll to. The town has several lovely restaurants and gift shops but isn't overcrowded with touristy tat! I would throughly recommend.Guest review bySteveUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We enjoyed Garachico for its size, once the day visitors have gone home there are plenty of lovely restaurants and caffès to choose from. For those who want a challenge there is a path up the peak behind Garachico. The views are spectacular, looking over the town and the lovely coastline. We would recommend using the public transport to get to other resorts, the buses are very clean and frequent. We ate at various places in Garachico ( booking is advisable at some). We particularly liked the Pizzeria Rugantino for the best hand made pizzas I’ve ever tasted ( and you can watch the chef making them) quite a skill ! You won’t find much on street parking in Garachico but the excellent Municipal car park was adequate and free.Guest review byCottam - 10.0

Garachico is perhaps the best choice for the island. The southern and western sides are far too touristic and crowded. Garachico maintained its unique charm. The positives is it was a small local town and it was attractive. It had plenty of restaurants and ice cream bars for a different place each night. Food was reasonably priced although quality was variable. The downside was you had to drive from there to most places and some of the roads were very bendy so often meant we were driving for long periods of time. The apartment is in the centre of town just a short walk from the village square, there are many good restaurants and cafes. Garachico is a small village on the coast with wonderful views and once the tourist have gone home at night you are left with a very authentic experience sharing the village with locals.Guest review byBenUnited Kingdom

Everything was there including hair conditioner, herbs for cooking, espresso cups - everything. The decor is quirky and holiday inspiring. The location is excellent: bars, restaurants, historic parts, natural swimming pools, supermarket all within minutes. The bus stop is right opposite, the view is the best in Garachico. It has some good restaurants and coffee bars although some close early (focussing on the lunch crowd) and many are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
