It is very pretty with surrounding mountains and olive groves and wonderful views of the lake. There are some lovely bars and restaurants and the castle is fantastic to visit and only 2 euros! You will need transport to visit the area .
You will need transport to visit the area . It's a lovely walk down to the reservoir with a lovely beach and a couple of bars that do lovely food. There are lots of sports in front of hotel as well as a running track . This is our 2nd visit across 8 yrs and we love it.
This is our 2nd visit across 8 yrs and we love it. Would come back again as its one of our favourites, little town with white washed buildings, Moorish castle it's history & most of all little courtyards covered with pots of flowers on walls, fences, verandah's with the most stunning views of the Moorish town, rivers, dams & hills of olive fields set high in the hills. It's very zen and peaceful. Lovely atmosphere. There wasnt a tv in rooms but this wasnt an issue as it was a peaceful place. Swimming pool was lovely. Home made food presented and served was excellent. You need to be pet friendly as they have two lovely dogs. Surrounded by mountains and lovely views . The owners of the hotel are extremely welcoming and took time to show us around their beautifully renovated house .We had a three course dinner at the hotel which was delicious and breakfast was superb with eggs from their own chickens and home made jams. Amalia - the hostess was very attentive and gave us lovely recommendations for tapas places in town. We enjoyed a relaxed day by the pool with a spectacular view over Iznajar castle and had a barbecue in the evening. The house and the pool were very clean and well equipped, with outdoor as well as indoor kitchen and a washing machine.
