The beach is great, but windy - there could be waves and this limits the use of it. So better look for a place with a pool. There is a great and even "fancy" shopping center there and a beach bar. There are several living complexes. You can easily distinguish between them, based on color/prominent features - and check where they are at google street. What is not shown there is there is fresh construction site with building works going on between the shopping center and the beach.
The only reason to visit Tejita is the beach: weekends for sunbathing, weekdays for kite surfing. Lots of travellers park their camper vans there and use the beach as it suits them. This seems to me to be the best use of the location. There's little else there.
Unspoilt quiet area right next to various beaches. Spectacular coastal scenery- lots of wild walking trail s- great kite -windsurfing area- lots of good restaurants in area especially Médano a town a mile or so distant-no aero plane noise- airport near but not over flight paths- can’t hear them at all- spotless pool if that’s your thing-quiet at night- If you want nightclubs and out till 5 am definitely not your place-inexpensive to dine in this area relative to Ireland or UK-Autoriesen car hired -would highly recommend
A new development of properties still being built, (which is why you see cranes in my photos) overlooking the stunning Red Rock. A protected site. Beautiful beaches (one nudist if it is to your taste) Great cafes and restaurants.
The apartment was lovely, we liked the complex and the area. Wouldn’t have hesitated to go back again apart from the fact that one week after we got home we were asked to pay a bill for damage to two patio doors. One of these doors was already damaged when we arrived and the other was fine the whole time we were there and definitely not broken when we left. This accusation left us with a very bad taste and certainly soured our experience. This apartment was probably the best one that we have been to in Tenerife, but the manner in which we have been blamed for these so called damages has made it almost impossible for us to ever return there.
We stayed here in an emergency as our flight was cancelled during the Air Traffic Control crisis. There is not a great deal to do in the local Area. But you can commute via taxi or bus to the next village of El Medano
