he Colorful Soul of the Costa del Sol
The birthplace of Picasso is as colorful as an artists palette, from the deep blue of the Mediterranean Sea to the golden sun, which gives 300 days of sunshine per year. Lovely food, even if my favourite was actually food from Cadiz. Buzzy without being overcrowded in October, and still warm enough to swim. Good rail connections for a day trip to Cordoba or Seville. Loved strolling through the old town. We visited the castles, the Picasso museum and the port/ harbour. Need to research restaurants - we just picked somewhere in the tourist zone and it was awful. First time trip to Malaga - vibrant city with so much to see. Stayed two nights and managed to visit the market, port and beach on first day and Alcazaba and Gibralfaro castle on day two . Very walkable city and great local buses and local trains. Also well served by the two city stations.
