    Lovely little town in a wonderful location, very quiet out of season but the weather was still wonderful! Great beach with plenty more within a short driving distance, easy access to the mountains for hiking, and full of good restaurants, food shops and nice bars.

    A good place to stop if you're travelling along the coast.A lovely beach is enclosed by two headlands,and the river runs out through a little harbour with views of the Picos.The local streets have a good selection of bars and restaurants.

    Ribadesella is in a lovely location with the Picos behind the town and river and sea in front. We travelled to the area by feve train, which was very scenic. You will need a taxi on arrival as the station is high up above the town.

    My wife and I came to Ribadesella first around 10 years ago...

    My wife and I came to Ribadesella first around 10 years ago and fell in love with it. There are a huge number of great restaurants and places to visit and activities for everyone. Additionally, we discovered recently a lot of the restaurants cater for Coeliacs really well which is tremendous for a family with 3 Coeliacs.

    Lovely seaside town with spectacular mountain and coastal...

    Lovely seaside town with spectacular mountain and coastal views, good promenades and beach, plenty of eating and drinking options. Very comfortable apartment with very friendly and informative hostess/manager. On our first night it was the festival of the town's patron saint - cue midnight bonfire and fireworks - we had a grandstand view across the river from our balcony. A couple of potential snags - the beach was closed for bathing because of river pollution (but there are some great beaches not far away); and the house between us and the mountain view looked like it was scheduled for redevelopment. Also, we did not have time, but historic caves nearby. Otherwise, it was perfect. I don't say that very often.

    This hotel was wonderful. The guy at the front desk was so welcoming. The hotel looks to have been built during the mid century modern era and the decor was as well. It was very clean and there was a bath tub—Perfect for pilgrims on the Camino after walking all day. The location was fabulous, near the beach and close to restaurants and a laundromat. I highly recommend Hotel Arena!

    The hotel is very clean with friendly helpful staff. The beds were comfortable, and there was a balcony facing the large pool and beautiful gardens. It is a very quiet area and only 20 mins walk or 10 mins in the car down to the beach and long promenade. There are plenty of cafes etc.
