Came here in march by accident returned again as I found it on booking dot com it was much cheaper through them it’s a fantastic hotel and all the staff are super nice I was still able to communicate with them and were very helpful I will be staying there again next year

Wonderful hosts. introduced us to their family and when we mentioned we were going on to Santander the next day, they insisted on driving us to show us a short cut to the motorway. Undoubtedly saved us over half an hour on our journey. Room was clean and comfortable. We would certainly recommend.

A pearl of accommodation on our trip through northern Spain, a modern renovated older house, glass, wood, metal, stone - great, it looks better in reality than in the photos. Amazing breakfast in a wonderful glass dining room, attentive staff. Another benefit of the accommodation is the amazing monographs on art and architecture - in the rooms and in the common areas. The village is also beautiful - older renovated houses, view of the mountains in the distance, and just a short walk from the highway exit. I really recommend it, whether as a stopover on the way or for a longer relaxing stay.

    I loved the setting, the calm vibe and wonderfully curated...

    I loved the setting, the calm vibe and wonderfully curated music in the restaurant area. The staircases and public areas were stunning in stone, with grand arches. The gardens were pretty and romantic and our bedroom had the wow factor. We took a walk to the local town of Mave and also drove into neighbouring Aguilar de Campoo -- a gem of a place, with a Monastery, squares, Elizabethan style architecture and a ruined fort on the outskirts, which you can climb up to.

    Our stay at this former convent was a delightful surprise!

    Our stay at this former convent was a delightful surprise! The architecture is stunning, and the attention to detail is impeccable. From the intricate carvings to the historic features, it's clear that a lot of care has gone into preserving this beautiful building. We were truly impressed and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience.

    We found it a little difficult to actually locate the hotel. Had we approached it from the other direction it would have been easier. It was a little difficult to actually find out what we had to do to check in. It was actually in an adjacent property. The evening meal we had was extremely good.

    What a beautiful hotel, rooms are amazing, unlike anything we've ever experienced. Garden area so tranquil, great area for afternoon drink. Restaurant is great fantastic menu and great service. The hotel is a little diamond hidden in the Spanish countryside. We will definitely be back.

    Lovely hotel in an old convent, beautiful gardens. Large room with a massive bed. Despite what I’ve written about the shower I would happily stay here again. Helpful staff. Only an hour from the Santander ferry.
