Seville is a city that lends itself perfectly to just wandering around and soaking up the atmosphere. And there is plenty of atmosphere to be soaked up.
People watching is very much a pastime here, and all over Seville restaurants teem with well-heeled locals enjoying a laidback coffee or cerveza under the shade of a citrus tree.
The city also has its fair share of must-see sights. Top of the list is Plaza de España whose monumental, semi-circular building is elaborately decorated with Andalusian tiles. Also typically Andalusian is the Seville Bull Ring, though what goes on inside may not be to everyone’s taste. The resting place of Christopher Columbus, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Seville Cathedral is an awe-inspiring structure whose vast vaults provide welcome relief from the heat of the day.
But it’s after dark that things really start to heat up. Streets pulse to the rhythm of flamenco, and with more bars per inhabitant than anywhere else in Europe, there’s no shortage of choice for nightlife.
Just on the outskirts of the city is Seville Airport. Public transport from here provides easy access to the array of Seville hotels, guest houses and apartments that Booking.com has to offer.

Seville is a bustling city, that’s rich in culture & history. We visited in October which is the height of the season as the weather is ideal for sightseeing. We stayed in the old town which is a perfect location for exploring what’s on offer. The Cathedral & Alcazar are a must. We did a guided tour which was very interesting & worthwhile. Do not book the Cathedral on a weekend, it is pure pandemonium, no control. spoils the day. spoils the visit. To eat, Do the Tapas bars, Do the Tapas experience, just do it. It's all easy to get to & find, the only transport you need is your feet. Our ages are 79 & 77 yrs young. As long as you are reasonably fit, you will be fine. A great city and the Architecture is wonderful it is a city we will definitely go back too.Having the tram line close to the hotel made it easier to get around. Seville is a friendly and amazing city that is easy to get around either on foot, by taxi or public transport. Travellers from the Americas will enjoy its connections to Columbus and Magellan. The Alcazar rivals the Alhambra and the Cathedral is also a must see. We just ate at the restaurants that were the closest and were never disappointed.
