The hotel is set off a road and once you enter, it is quiet and tranquil. The staff are very discreet and the service is excellent. We had room 16 which had a private balcony overlooking the river Tarn. The room was large, very comfortable and the view was beautiful. The Air Conditioning was weak but we opened the door and the balcony and the through draft cooled the room in the evenings. As we were having a heat wave, the cool breeze in the evenings lasting through to the morning was delightful. The meals are delicious and the service again is excellent. Breakfast is equally good with excellent coffee. It should be noted that we have an electric car and the staff went out of the way to ensure we could charge it.Guest review by2 blokes from LondonFrance - 10.0

Proprietor did not provide key until 2330.
Proprietor did not provide key until 2330. He did not answer my call at 1930, and did not call back. I had not heard back from him by 2000. It was getting dark so I rented another room. He sent a text at 2130, after nightfall and after I had rented another room. I called again at 2300 and was told that there was a key in a lockbox. We stayed here to attend the Pause Guitarre Festival and we were really surprised on how beautiful is Albi. Honestly, I did not expect anything like what we saw in the last 3 days. The centre is lovely and full of independent shops, and restaurants and cafes'. we had lunch in a very nice seafood restaurant near the cathedral, fabulous!! The room and bed size were exceptional with a window looking out to a pretty courtyard garden. Decorated with lovely antiques and tasteful period features. The electric blinds made a complete black out, which we like at night. Check in and out was simplicity itself and the host was flexible about leaving the car for a little longer while we explored Albi in the morning.
