Chalons is a beautiful city full of parks, canal walks and stunning buildings. We stayed overnight on the way further south but had a lovely evening in the city and walk in the walk the next morning. The hotel was lovely and had all facilities, pool,sauna, spa and treatments. Unfortunately the restaurant is closed on Mondays but there are restaurants in the main city which is only a 10 min drive away. Such beautiful edifices, Notre Dame en Vaux is an absolute gem, and Saint Etienne Cathedral impressive, worth the visit. The stream running through the town is charming. We were greeted by a nice and friendly receptionist and were able to park our motorcycles in the hotels secure underground car park. Lots of nice bars near the hotel and we were treated to an evening of live music in the square whilst relaxing with food and drinks.
