We (a little family of four -a 5 and 2 year old) greatly enjoyed the one night spent on the Libellule! It was very comfortable and such a nice little "side adventure" on our holiday/drive across France. We could easily have spent another night if time allowed, as we didnt even have time to explore the surroundings -If we are in the area in the future we def book another night! Two restaurants very close to the boat, and a mini market/convenience store only 5 min walk away. Severine is a great host!

    It was a unique experience.

    It was a unique experience. We had personal attention from our host from the moment we arrived. The whole place was beautifully preserved 18th century chic with modern essential services. The bed was had fine linen sheets and pillows that felt like puffy clouds. The breakfast had a choice of 5 delicious homemade jams from the chateaus own produce. We were beginning to wonder if we had mistaken the cost and it was going to be 95eu per head but no it was only 95 for two of us of us. Brilliant!

    Location was perfect, in the heart of Charlieu. The property was absolutely beautiful from the historical rooms to the beautiful garden. Outdoor facilities beautiful. Owners were helpful and friendly. Could not fault it. Absolutely stunning

    The hotel is well placed, with ample secure parking and a good in house restaurant. The rooms are spotless and comfortable and sheets / linen good quality. I now use this hotel as a regular staging post.
