    Fougeres is a very nice town, with a lovely old castle and good shops and restaurants. We ate at a smashing restaurant called "La Table de Marni" and the food was great - particularly their "egg and bacon" starter, poached with cream and garlic - yummy !

    The staff are all extremely helpful and have good communication skills. We were given good advice on where to visit of historic interest and followed the advice. Fougeres is n interesting place to visit.

    It has a typical centre for an old French town, which we love. there is information available on a walk which takes in the chateau, the castle and a very pleasant park which has a wonderful view. Access in all directions by road.

    best western was excellent, and the town itself was lovely, a lovely woodland walk led us to the medieval castle, which itself was well worth the visit. restaurants and bars a plenty. walks were on the hilly side but some wonderful views. cafe du paris was superb.

    The city center is very nice.

    The city center is very nice. I's organized with care and love. We didn't have time to visit the fortress but it looked very impressive from outside. The city park is very beautiful, nice and calm. A nice place for a walk.

    I booked this room as a stopover but it was exceptional and I wish I had booked it for longer. The room was wonderful with gorgeous views, beautiful decor and a lovely balcony. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a wide range of fresh food served in a delightful dining room. The host was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The room was surprisingly cheap so that was an added bonus. I highly recommend this lovely hotel. Fougeresis also a charming and interesting location.

    Great location, near the centre of Fougeres. Very clean and comfortable room and the bathroom was excellent. We had a king size room, plenty of space. No air con but a fan was provided. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and spoke excellent English. Very good breakfast buffet available. We stayed for two nights and loved it. Very good value for money.

    The location is wonderfull, the facilities are great, the bed comfortable and large, there was room fot your belongings. Of the six places we stayed during our time o france , I would rate this as the most comfortable and my favourate. Parking is safe and easy. The WiFi is the fastest I have ever seen, (once I discovered which one was for us)
