A great location. Not far from the castle ( just down a steep hill )Friendly owner who let us park our motorbike safely down an alley away from the road. Offered us chocolates and the breakfast was good value at 10 Euros. Other staff were friendly too. A basic room but was clean and everything we needed, though I do prefer two pillows . There was a kettle but don't forget to bring your own milk if you like milk with your tea and coffee. Good value for money. The owner kindly let us stop till midday so we had time to go to the castle.

    Fougeres is a very nice town, with a lovely old castle and good shops and restaurants. We ate at a smashing restaurant called "La Table de Marni" and the food was great - particularly their "egg and bacon" starter, poached with cream and garlic - yummy !

    It has a typical centre for an old French town, which we love. there is information available on a walk which takes in the chateau, the castle and a very pleasant park which has a wonderful view. Access in all directions by road.

    best western was excellent, and the town itself was lovely, a lovely woodland walk led us to the medieval castle, which itself was well worth the visit. restaurants and bars a plenty. walks were on the hilly side but some wonderful views. cafe du paris was superb.

    The city center is very nice.

    The city center is very nice. I's organized with care and love. We didn't have time to visit the fortress but it looked very impressive from outside. The city park is very beautiful, nice and calm. A nice place for a walk.

    I booked this room as a stopover but it was exceptional and I wish I had booked it for longer. The room was wonderful with gorgeous views, beautiful decor and a lovely balcony. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a wide range of fresh food served in a delightful dining room. The host was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The room was surprisingly cheap so that was an added bonus. I highly recommend this lovely hotel. Fougeresis also a charming and interesting location.

    We both like the Campaniile brand. The overnight stay was fine. The staff very friendly and the continental breakfast is what you might expect. The hotel itself was in a more leafy part on the east side of the centre of Fougeres. Based on other Campaniles, we have stayed at, this one seemed as though it might benefit from a little bit of TLC. However, it doesn't detract from what the chain is there for which is to provide one or two nights stop, on a budget, to your main destination.

    The hosts were very nice, keeping us posted with all the necessary information. The location was perfect, walking distance from Fougères city centre. The flat is very well decorated and has all the equipment needed for a short or longer stay. Totally recommend for a weekend or longer in Fougères.

    Good location, easy to park car and walking access to some restaurants near by. Apartment itself is very comfortable and has all you need for a comfortable stay. Definitely a better option then hotel when staying for a few days!
