The hosts, Flo and Geff were just lovely and welcoming. The accommodation featured a sitting room, bedroom and large bathroom so there was plenty of room to spread out after many days on the road. Flo even did a load of washing for us! We also enjoyed interacting with their animals, including the dogs, donkeys and goats! This really was a lovely place to stay for a couple of days, and a great place from which to explore the Dordogne region as it was only 10 minutes from La Roque and Sarlat, and 5 minutes from Domme. PS, Flo also runs a creperie there, so we popped back in from lunch!

Location: Perfect location right in the center of the town, easy walking distance to sites and restaurants. Although it was in a pedestrian area, our van was able to park just across to bring down our luggage. Breakfast: Excellent breakfast! The buffet selection was well-curated and of high quality. Room: Beautifully-designed rooms and thoughtful amenities. Comfortable beds and pillows. Everything was spotlessly clean, too. Staff and service: For us, the staff is the most valuable asset of the Manoir. Service was very personal. Everyone went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We were spoiled. :) From helping us with our many, heavy luggage, attending to our requests during breakfast, providing amazing assistance during a room service -- everything was done with a smile. Thank you so much to David and the rest of the team for making our stay memorable.

We were 2 couples, old friends, one American and one French on a road trip. We used this hotel as our base for 6 nights in the Dordogne as it not far from most of the sites we intended on visiting. We were extremely happy with our stay, starting with our hostess, Anne Marie, who gave us a warm welcome and was especially helpful with recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing, even making reservations for us. Our rooms were spotless, nicely sized with beautiful bathrooms and separate toilets. We had a lovely terrace and a view of the grounds. It was too cold to go swimming but the pool looked very inviting. The breakfasts (not included but fairly priced) were very good with lots of choices. We chose this hotel as it seemed to be a calm oasis to relax in after sightseeing and we were not disappointed. This was the by far the best place we stayed in during our 3 week trip in France.

For the price this hotel is excellent, basic rooms but very clean with fan, hair dryer and dressing table. Fabulous views over the river and right in the centre. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay again. A meal at Au Chalet Gourmand just up the river is a must ***** plus a river trip and the gardens at Marqueyssac.

The hotel is renovated to an excellent standard, while keeping the charm of the old. Green spaces are well manicured and terraces are great. Although the weather did not allow for its use, the adults only pool is a great touch. The mound erected in front of the hotel blocking the view (and noise) of the busy road was a stroke on inspiration for the architect, we really appreciated the quiet and verdant view outside our window. The reception staff was beyond accommodating and catered to all our concerns. All in all, a wonderful discovery.

The accommodation was warm, welcoming, and really well thought out. We took advantage of the washing machine and the drying rack to do our laundry, and cooked most of our meals there. The location was quiet but very nicely placed a few minutes away from La Roque-Gageac, and a short drive away from Domme. Loved the view of the field from the upstairs bedroom.

Beautiful grounds and building in the most perfect location. Stunning views from every window. Staff and owners were welcoming and kind, food was very good. We couldn’t ask for more and hope to visit with our family again one day. If you are going to La Roque-Gageac, you must stay here!
