Perfect base to explore the 3 Vallees.

Perfect base to explore the 3 Vallees. Not the most picturesque resort but has all the amenities you need with easy access. Some may prefer the landscape of the Meribel and Courchevel vallees with their trees but there is a nice openness and vast views of the mountains in the Menuires and Val Thorens that may feel less claustrophobic. Favourite places: La Marmite and Au Village restaurants/ La Godille for ski gear/ Sherpa for mini market

Les Menuires is a good base.

Les Menuires is a good base. It has plenty of local skiing, but also gives good access via ski lifts (subject to weather) to the other areas. I went to Courcheval and Mirabel several time, but Val Thorens most often. Because of enjoying the fairly self contained half-board at Club Belambra, I did not need to explore places to eat out.

very large ski station, so best to really look where you book versus parking/ski lesson/ski lifts. plenty of slopes for all levels. after ski activities present as well- Swimming pool/inflatable area down the Croisette area- free buses to go from one side to the other but the timing of buses can be unreliable at times.

We had plenty of snow so it was ideal skiing. The resort is quiet and high up and beautiful. People were friendly and ski school was good. Loved going into the local pub apre ski and lunch. Others in our group who are good skiers skied all over and said it was fantastic. They went to Val Thorens and lots of other places. It's a 3 hour transfer from Grenoble airport but that was ok. Had a very nice meal in a restaurant next to the Necou accommodation.

Centrally located, although other areas have quicker access to the other valleys. Mid elevation, so skiing is a bit sloppy in warmer weather and it's a bit of a ride up the two lane road into the valley (as if you have a better option elsewhere). Nothing there other than a couple hotels and small shops, not a true Alpine village, but if that's what you're looking for (rather than a huge ski area), then go to Austria or Switzerland

This town is not as expensive as Val Thorens for accommodation, but it offers easy access to the Val Thorens ski area via a convenient cable car. After skiing in Val Thorens in the afternoon, you can ski back to the town in just a few minutes. It's amazing!

Good location close to several shops, lifts, bars and restaurants. Very friendly and helpful team - far better than most hotels. Ski lockers, sauna, steam room, decent bar area (can have a comfortable conversation). The live band on our Monday night were a lot of fun. Evening meals in the hotel are very good value vs local restaurants, but get booked up quickly, so we could only do it once. You might not like to eat in the same place 2x per day anyway.

The place is great 👍🏻 lovely staff, easy communication via booking and e-mail. The rooms are a bit small but it was quiet expected. Breakfast was fine and basic. One of the best things was also to have the skiset shop just down the stairs with the ski in/out and lovely staff and gear in tip-top condition. Very recommend this place. For 3 stars hotel, it's perfect 👌🏼 Thank you for the lovely service T

Location was perfect, in Les Menuires, with easy access to Val Thorens and Meribel, well connected, with one green and one blue slope just right under.
