Easy and cheap to park in the town centre. Our host gave advice. Porcelain museum definitely worth a visit. Also the station buildings. We enjoyed walking around the medieval streets. It can be a little hard to get your bearings in Limoges as...
It can be a little hard to get your bearings in Limoges as the city is not flat and everything can feel a little scattered about (the city hall is miles away from the cathedral and the porcelain museum is yet again miles away from both). However, don't let that put you off visiting both the fine arts museum next to the cathedral as well as the porcelain museum (Musee Adrien Dubouche). The latter was extended and refurbished just a couple of years ago and the result is amazing with great technical insight into making pottery in general , the history of the local industry and a vast collection spanning almost every conceivable example. This was a good choice - there is a spacious, relaxing lobby with a bar and lots of seating - also table football and board games. The staff were friendly and helpful and breakfasts were excellent - plenty of choice, including hot options and very good cheese.
