Jens our host welcomed us when arriving. It felt much more like visiting a friend than arriving at a booked accommodation. He was super supportive with our bikes and everything else! He not only recommended a place to eat for the night but made the reservation himself.

    Mesvres is a small, somewhat run-down village without any beautiful houses or views. There's a restaurant, a bar-tabac, and a bakery. Opening hours are limited, so be sure to check them out. A short stay, however, is worthwhile. The 9th-century abbey (!) is worth seeing, as is the 12th-century village church.
