There was much to see and visit. Wonderful art nouveau pieces, lovely parks and squares and helpful people. It was very easy to walk around the city, but it was worth getting the city pass that gives entry to various museums and free transport around the city. Musee des Beaux Arts is great, especially for native son Emile Friant. The Art Nouveau houses - Villa Majorelle and Musee de l"'Ecole de Nancy - are totally worth visiting. Therefore you can just leave your car at the hotel (hotel parking costs 10 euros per day, or otherwise on the street) and just walk.
