Short trip from airport so easy to get there. Huge choice of hotels to stay in. Same for restaurants with a diverse choice including French, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Mexican, Chinese and more. Plenty of small cafes too to enjoy a coffee and croissant! Loads of shops, perhaps more spaced out than Cannes or Antibes but more than enough to satisfy shoppers. Lovely long wide promenade for walks or a run. Cultrally, there are many museums and historic sites to visit. It was all good.

We visited in late September and the weather was fabulous and whilst we stayed in the Old Port section of the city we were able to access most of the key sites and attractions on foot. Would recommend the one hour coastal cruise as it was a quick way to see Nice from the water. Lots of eateries and bars to suit all budgets. Take time, and make the effort to visit Castle Hill where you can enjoy breathtaking views from the top of the hill where the Castle of Nice once stood. Castle Hill, which towers over Nice’s historic core, is the most popular park in town. Hike uphill through a set of winding trails or take the free elevator to the top, though be prepared to queue at busy times. The park is worth visiting any time of the day with great views over the Promenade des Anglais, Old Port and surrounds. A cannon shot goes off at noon every day.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
