Poitiers was our chosen night stop as we drove North toward St Malo. We were there just for the night and left fairly soon after breakfast. We did manage to walk around the main town area after checking in that evening and it was full of interesting architecture. The main centre is closed to traffic and has many restaurants, cafe's and bars, creating a safe and easy ambiance, which I'm sure we would have enjoyed had more time been available.Guest review byTimothyJersey - 10.0

Futurescope was a big disapointment to all my family. who's ages ranged from 5 to 82 years. The queues were anything up to 2 hours, and what was then particularly galling. V I P visitors were able to jump the queue to lengthen your wait. Some of the rides/shows were good , but one reallity ride we went on was past it's sell by date with the motions harsh and bruising. Logis Hôtel de l'Europe A wonderful hotel wish we could have stayed more than one night - staff very helpful parking a bonus Room was very spacious and comfortable Breakfast was excellent - choices and quality really good. Recommendation of Oh Le Bistro was spot on- short walk and great food and service. We will certainly stay again . Poitiers is a medieval small city with a great deal of ancient and medieval monuments extremely important in the French history. It has a University from 1431 and 30,000 students from France and abroad every year. It is quite cheap in comparison with many other French cities which is why I would go there again for a short holiday or break. There are many lovely boutiques with high quality garments, shoes and hats. Poitiers is literally on the route and it takes only a few extra minutes to reach Mac Bed. Next to the hotel, there is a Routiers restaurant, for truckers. Plenty of good food for a very reasonable price! This was the third time we stayed at Mac Bed and will return if we go again to the same area on vacation.
