Tarbes is a wonderful small city, with many nice hotels, just not the one we stayed in. Brasserie des Halles does a brilliant lunch. L’Arsenal has many lively bars and activities. The city has much culture and is reknowned fir its sport including rugby and especially fencing at Amicale Tarbes Escrime. Jardin Massey is beautiful, museum of the Hussards attached. The markets are still large, lively and varied. Concerts and themed weeks such as Tango or horse festivals makes it an interesting destination. This was a different room - more like a suite - an entrance area, big bedroom with TV, table and chairs, and a large bathroom with bath & shower.
