Rooms were very new and spotless. Large walk in shower, comfy beds. Parking on street available, and easy access after hours. Good location for wine sampling and L' Ange Bleu cabaret. Restaurant looked good for meat lovers, although we had already made plans. Hope to go back and sample the carvery.

A lovely spot w countryside all around. We ate on terrace overlooking the river. Reasonably simple evening menu with one or two choices/each course was delicious. Wine or artisan beers available. Continental breakfast inc yoghurt w great coffee, homemade pastries/homemade jams. Emilie and Matthias are delightful people/excellent hosts. Room so welcoming. Bed comfortable. Lots of little bathroom details to provide what one might need. We really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed overnight last night on our way to Spain. Jeanne-Phillipe and his family are very warm and welcoming hosts. The room was beautifully renovated and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was excellent! We would love to visit again

    Huge room, well-equipped bathroom, stylishly furnished. Exceptionally clean (which was unexpected in such an old building). Staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Home-cooked buffet dinner (including cheese and dessert course), accompanied by the hotel's own wine was very good and extremely reasonably priced. Continental buffet breakfast was equally good. Parking in chateau forecourt. Well-locateed, just a short drive from the motorway intersection.

    We had a very warm and personal welcome. The location is absolutely charming, highly recommend. While the hotel does not have a restaurant for dinner, we were kindly offered a plate with a selection of French sausages and cheese, and enjoyed some splendid wine from their own vineyard.

    The breakfast was amazing , such a variety & so fresh . The room was also amazing . While the chateau was faultless it was the owner and staff who made our stay memorable . A stay at Chateau Julie in Virsac is a must . Thank you Patricia & Laura and all the staff

    Absolutely true to all the reviews, perfect location, great place - so much better than hotels of a similar price. Hostess was amazing and very welcoming. Bottle of wine as a gift on departure was excellent.
