Bolton is a town on the edge of the M61/M62, making it a great place as an affordable base for Greater Manchester or onward travel. I was there for my Son's Wedding, which was at Bolton School. This place was a beautiful setting for a wedding and the Staff were so helpful and charming. It was also the weekend for the Bolton Good Fest. This is a not to be missed experience.
