I have stayed at The Old House before and loved it.
I have stayed at The Old House before and loved it. Unfortunately when I tried to book again it was always full, but I managed to get this short break. The pub is in a convenient location for visiting my family. There is a lovely atmosphere and the staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel welcome. The room-it was the same one twice as per my request-was perfect for my elderly mother with mobility issues. There was a wet room which meant my Mum could shower easily. The beer garden is lit up at night and looks magical. When we arrived on a Saturday, the beer garden was full. There were many families enjoying the sun and it there was a relaxed feel to the place. Burstow is a small village near to Gatwick Airport - close enough, but not so that one is bothered by aircraft noise. It is an ideal place for a night's stay before travelling from the airport, being about a fifteen to twenty minute drive away. We were attending a family gathering.
We were attending a family gathering. Travel to & from the venue was straight forward & there were a number of local places to stop & visit.
