We came for the Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Festival, but it is a wonderful centre for hikers as well with a beautiful park. Helps if you like hills! The hotel provides parking permits (2.50 per 24 hours) for convenient parking spaces. Reputedly, this is the oldest hotel in England and so we found our room was splendidly furnished with inlaid antique furniture. We will book again.
