The Manor House facility and setting are excellent. The staff went out of their way to be helpful, and to ensure our time there was enjoyable and restful. It was our first visit to the UK, and this was an unforgettable experience.

This was an incredible place to stay. I came to see Castle Combe, and instead I spent more time at the farm playing with the peacocks than I did in the village. Just a beautiful spot, with design elements in the Old Library around every corner that were completely beautiful. The breakfast was clean but sufficient, limited to cereal and milk, and there was a tray of hot drink possibilities. I loved it here, and would love to have stayed longer if time had allowed.

this property was stunning, it was like walking into a movie set. so nicely updated but with tons of charm and comfort. It had so many thoughtful amenities such as everything needed for young kids ( baby gate, high chair, plastic cups and a bed) and things like extra blankets and pillows and baskets for laundry. Such a great retreat. The back garden is a dream. the owners also left a great guide book with useful info. Even though Castle Combe is a top attraction for tourists the mornings and evenings were fairly quiet we had no issue parking on the Street. there are also some footpath trails that connect from the road to the village center

The staff were great. The food was excellent. The Oktoberfest on the Friday night was great fun with all the community welcoming us. We were upgraded to an apartment which was very big and the bed was very comfortable for my husband, who is 6ft3". But beware of events at the Castle Combe racing circuit as this can cause a long traffic jam with many visitors all trying to get into the circuit at the same time!

    The place was utter perfection.

The place was utter perfection. Pat and Rowena's design sensibilities throughout the Old Library were exceptional. And then to be greeted by peacocks in the morning, in this idyllic location..it was the perfect end to a three week trip. The walk into Castle Combe was delightful-I had thought the village would be the highlight, but I have to say my accommodations for the evening rivalled even the lovely town..

Castle Combe is a stunning village with a lovely stream running through the centre. The ancient houses are all different and the village is set in a deep valley. Without the tourists it is perfect. Try to avoid peak times. Maybe visit in the evening or early morning. Our favourite place to stay, if we can afford it, is the Manor House Hotel. Expensive but absolutely perfect!! Try to have lunch at the Castle Inn, this belongs to the Manor but is more affordable.

Castle Combe is a quaint little village but there’s only one place to buy things and it’s out of a lady’s house - she has nice things for sale. The village has two places to eat plus one lady puts out goodies for a couple of hours on an honour system type idea but other than that there’s really nothing else open. It’s a really cute little town but I wouldn’t go there for any other thing except to see it and meander thru the streets

Castle Combe is beautiful and small.

Castle Combe is beautiful and small. We ended up doing a 3 mile circular walk which was great. The buildings are very pretty but it is such a small village you won't be there for long if that is all you have come to see and if the weather is bad, you will struggle to find many indoor alternatives. Having said that, the coffee at The Stables was good and the pre-ordered picnic was very tasty and as I said, the village itself is very pretty.

The hotel was set in an ideal location in the heart of the Cotswolds. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet apart from traffic going through the village as the hotel is situated by the road. The staff were so helpful and friendly, especially Tyler, who went out of his way to make sure we were happy and was a true gentleman. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was amazing, both dinner and breakfast, we ate there both days and it was excellent.
