Very comfortable. Really quiet area. Eventhough I didn't cook, the kitchen literally has everything you would need. Tea/coffee, pastries and cereals for breakfast. Bus stop was a few minutes walk away. Landlady responded quickly to all my questions. Even allowed me to check out later with no extra charge.

I have nothing but praise for the Governors House. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional. A warm welcome from Mark on arrival and every interaction with staff throughout my stay was the same. A real gem. It was so nice to stay in a place that was such a high standard with a friendly feel. A bonus was the quality of the evening meal. Had fish and chips and can honestly say the fish was the best fish I have had in a long time. Another added bonus was the cosy bar area and positive vibe. Also lovely and warm on what was a very cold evening. Will definitely stay again.

The staff here are truly exceptional - second visit and equally as good as the first - Barbara the housekeeper brightens your stay with a smile and a welcome Anna the réception manager helpful and just genuinely lovely and every member of staff you meet in between make this a special place to stay

I stayed there as it was convenient to my daughter's house in Stockport, so didn't see much of Cheadle on that visit. On previous visits I can say it's a pleasant suburb of Greater Manchester with some good restaurants
